Cherry-picking is deadly...

The faith mentioned in Ephesians chapter 2 verse 8 is dead unless it is qualified by good works. Many people fail to get the full and correct context of both verses 8 and 9 when they float these verses by themselves. They do this by excluding verse 10. Their cherry-picking produces a dead gospel due to their dead thinking through their dead faith. 

Cherry-picking will ultimately kill those who insist on doing so come judgement day.

Faith cannot be claimed as being alive based on just a few segragated scriptures. A living faith can only be verified as alive by using all of the scriptures in proper context. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:26 In the same dead spirit they also fail to not include verse 8 when they float Titus 3:5 all by itself. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men. Titus 3:8 Our works do not save us but we cannot maintain our salvation without good works. Good works were intended to glorify God. Good works bring both the lost and the saved to glorify God. Why then would people constantly insist on minimizing good works within the gospel of salvation? Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16 We must obey in order to remain saved. Jesus gave us commands to obey and often those commands actually involve good works being produced. If we have not loved our brother, given to the least of these and the like then we have failed to obey Jesus. If our so-called works are selfserving then they are not good works and thus we have failed to obey Jesus. We must be the workman doing good for God's glory alone or else we cannot claim to be a benefactors of the Author of our salvation from sin. And being made perfect, he became the Author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; Hebrews 5:9
