A warning from Peter

The Apostle Peter warned that this is a very real potential.

I suspect that some people may claim that there is an error in what Paul wrote when he specifically stated that the remission of sins through the blood of Jesus Christ was for past sins only. Most likely though, as I have seen on many occasions, they will just twist this around to say something completely different in order to fit within their deadly doctrine of OSAS.

Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Romans 3:25

Peter also agreed with Paul on this:

But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 2 Peter 1:9

And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. 2 Peter 3:15-16
