The two paths of the righteous.

There are two possible outcomes for a faithful servant. That servant can endure faithfully unto the end and be saved. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13 Or the faithful servant, having once been righteous, can turn around and relinquish his righteousness in a trade-off for death by returning to sin. Don't be fooled here. This death is a spiritual death. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. [23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:20,23 When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby. Ezekiel 33:18 The soul that sinneth, it shall die... Ezekiel 18:20 If you still cannot see this truth that is clearly shown to us by Jesus, Paul and Ezekiel then here is Jesus once more explaining it in a different way: And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath. But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him , and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers. Luke 12:42-46 The faithful servant can be found faithful in the end and thus be made a blessed ruler for the glory of God or that faithful servant can choose to turn back to his sin and and then be appointed unto death as an unbeliever. "Cut in sunder" is another way of saying cut into pieces. Jesus obviously used a very graphic phrase here to say, that the servan will be put to spiritual death for turning away from righteousness and towards sin. There are two paths anyone can take in this world, the old path that leads to life or the other way that leads to death by the way of sin. Thus saith the Lord , Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein. Jeremiah 6:16 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19
