What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the birth of Jesus. Wait...that's not right. Let me try that again. What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the resurrection of Jesus. Wait...that's not right either. One more time. I know this is right... What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Jesus.

Yeah, that's right. With all the man-made holidays out there, if one doesn't participate they are pretty much branded as a heretic. This is sad because we were never commanded to remember either His birth or resurrection in any form of celebration such as is done via the modern holidays. We are however commanded to specifically remember His death in reverence and without compromise until He comes again. For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: [24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. [25] After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it , in remembrance of me. [26] For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. [27] Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. [28] But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. [29] For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 1 Corinthians 11:23-29

It is nothing but the blood of Jesus that washes away my sins.

I praise God that Jesus was born in the flesh and that He rose victoriously from the grave but it is purely and unequivocally only by His blood that I can be saved. And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22

Holiness or Sinfulness?

“Holiness” and “Holy” are perhaps the most under-emphasized and rarely used words in the pulpits of modern Christianity. If and when they...
