I GET TO!!!

I get to do good works! 

Let me explain with supporting verses to follow. 

Paul said that I needed to work out my own salvation with fear and trembling. 

But I must always remember that it's not my works that saves me from my past sins as only the work of Jesus Christ through His blood shed on the cross does. 

Yes future sins are forgiven by His blood as well but only through me confessing my sins and repenting just as it was required for my past sins. 

It's called living sanctified and freed from sin. 

I cannot expect to keep on sinning so that grace may abound, God forbid! 

It's not just a matter of settling on God's justification of myself but it's more about the joy of taking up my cross daily and following Him. 

It's about me dying daily. 

You see my works prove that my faith is not dead. 

John the Baptist and Paul both said for me to bring forth works meet for repentance. 

Jesus said unless I repent I will perish. 

Remember also that the branches that bring forth no fruit get thrown in the fire. 

If doing good works gets to be burdensome for me then something is wrong with me and not the gospel. 

If I am born again then I would see good works for my Lord as something I get to do and not something I have to do. Once all the pieces are together one can see the beauty in the relationship God has arranged for us and the end goal of our good works is His good pleasure!

So praise the Lord I get to do good works for Him! Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Philippians 2:12 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: [25] Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Romans 3:24-25 For he that is dead is freed from sin. [8] Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: [9] Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. [10] For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. [11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. [13] Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. [24] Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. [26] For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:14-26 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance: Matthew 3:8 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. Acts 26:20 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. [3] Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. [4] Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
