Hypocrisy and political preferences…

Once again, hypocrisy is occurring for the sake of political preferences and this is happening right now on the part of professing Christians…
Christians must remain above reproach and not be double minded but it appears many are failing to do so once again with the recent news coming out.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8
The news headlines show that a high ranking political figure used his own money to cover up illicit affairs with two women. This individual has been revered by many professing Christians as their political hero and some have gone so far as to say he is a Christian. He is not a Christian for sure based on his fruits.
But the focus here is on the sin cover up and the hypocritical way people are attempting to justify this cover up.
First of all the Bible says “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy”. Proverbs 28:13.
Professing Christians are once again giving this man a pass. These are the same ones who demanded justice for a previous president who tried to hide his sexual sins. Those professing Christians said it was wrong for that person to try to cover up his sins and they were correct. They are however wrong to say that because this current political hero used his own money to cover up the sin that somehow this makes it right. God does not see it right at all and we should hold to His standard and not our own. People need to stop being double minded in how they show their support for sinners just because the sinner satisfies their own political preferences.
This is very sad and it is sin and needs to be repented of.
Woe unto them that seek deep to hide their counsel from the LORD, and their works are in the dark, and they say, Who seeth us? and who knoweth us? Isaiah 29:15
