Be the one to break the cycle of sin in your own family!

You can either give in to the sin that has plagued your family, whatever sin that is, or you can break the cycle of sin by loving and obeying God.

Perhaps your past generations tried to incorporate religion while holding on to their sin and you are following in their steps in doing this as well. Religion, even one that professes Jesus Christ as their Saviour, cannot save the unrepentant sinner. If you are living in sin then you hate God. That is His conclusion and not my own. You cannot have it both ways. You cannot live in sin and then claim to be a lover of God.

...I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Exodus 20:5-6

The congruency of scriptures is a beautiful thing for the believer but it should be frightening to those who love their sin.

So if...the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord...then...he that sinneth against...God...wrongeth his own soul...and..all they that hate...God...love death. (Romans 6:23 and Proverbs 8:36)

If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:6-7

If ye love me, keep my commandments.John 14:15

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. John 15:14

When you serve sin you are not serving God so you must choose one or the other as you cannot serve both.

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24

It is a life or death choice that needs to be made. Choose life and stop the cycle of sinning today!

Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Ezekiel 18:4

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: Deuteronomy 30:19
