Preservation of the saints? Once Saved Always Saved?

Not so much if you stop loving God... Not so much if you stop obeying God... Love is proven to God through our obedience... If we go back into sin then we are not obeying Him and if we are not obeying Him then we do not love Him and if we do not love Him then we are no longer preserved.

If this is you then this means you have chosen sin over salvation.

God shares His throne with nothing, especially sin... Read the Scriptures below before you jump to any presupposed opinions based on someone else's doctrine (Calvin, etc) so you don't answer this matter until you hear it from God first (Proverbs 18:13)... The context here is clear and precise yet people still insist on clinging to an unbiblical definition of God's grace in order to justify their sin. They insist that despite their disobedience they are still preserved. Since God preserves only the obedient who love Him then despite their beliefs the disobedient are not saved. The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. Psalm 145:20

Sad but the verse above containing preserve(th) destroys the doctrine of the Preservation of the saints when taken in exact context on it's own but more so with the rest of scripture. So clearly, God preserves those that love Him. If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 Only those who obey God love God. And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. 1 John 2:3-5 If a person is living in sin but wants to insist that he is saved then he is a liar and is headed for eternal damnation. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. Revelation 21:8 Sin is definitely not something to be excused. It is a matter of life and death, just as much as it was before salvation, never belittle something God is very serious about. For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Hebrew 10:26-27 If you love your sin much that you have to stay in it you have made your decision to depart from the Living God. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation. Hebrews 3:12-15 Hebrews was written to believers and to avoid taking anything out of context brethren equals believers. Grace saved us on the cross and grace is there when we stumble but it is not there when we purpose to continue in sin. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Romans 6:1-2 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:11-12 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 1 John 1:6 Calvin got the idea of the preservation of the saints all wrong according to God's word, don't make the same mistake like this as I did for years. If you are in sin repent before it's too late and definitely stop making excuses for sin either in your life or someone else's.
