Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest.

Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Hebrews 4:11.

I love how it states "Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest".

The human heartbeat is a combination of both the systolic and diastolic phases and obviously you cannot have one without the other. Systolic is when the heart is at work and diastolic is when it is at rest.

Jesus is indeed our rest (Matthew 11:28) so it makes sense that we need to endure unto the end (Matthew 24:13) which must include a labour of good works because faith without works is dead (James 2:26) and that it is our labour of good works that brings others to glorify God (Matthew 5:16).

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:13

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. James 2:26

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Bonus: For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

So, let us labour therefore to enter into that rest...
