A much abused verse...

OSAS proponents typically say something like this: "But when you believe on Jesus God no longer counts your sin against you, Romans eight one, therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Jesus Christ". What the false teachers do not include is the last part of that verse which is: " ...who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." False OSAS teachers typically leave the last part of Romans 8:1 because it does not help support their doctrine...at all... In fact it completely negates their assumption that one cannot forfeit their salvation. Paul qualified who remains not condemned. He specifically said that these are those who walk after the Spirit and not the flesh. This includes the the righteous. Ezekiel provides definitive support on this as well. It is clear that Paul agreed with Ezekiel and they both, along with the rest of scriptures, disagree completely with OSAS. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand. [21] Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man , that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezekiel 3:20-21 Throughout scriptures we see that it is repented sins of the past that are forgiven. This bears repeating...these are only past sins and not future sins. Believing that future sins are forgiven is nothing more than a license to sin. Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; Romans 3:25 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: [31] Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men , in that he hath raised him from the dead. Acts 17:30-31 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 13:3 Without the blood of Jesus and repentance one will be judged a sinner and not righteous. The unrighteous do not inherit the kingdom. Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, [10] Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 If we do sin then we must confess and repent.
