The gospel of Christ IS the power of God unto salvation...

Does the gospel that you believe in support the idea that you will inevitably sin? If so then your gospel does not have the power of God unto salvation.

Proof text: For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
