So you want to be blessed by God?

How exactly does God want to bless us in the first place?

He wants us to turn away from our sins.

What?

He wants us to go and sin no more like he told the woman caught in adultery.

Really, that is His number one motive for blessing anyone.  Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities. Acts 3:26 Who exactly is blessed by God? The poor in spirit are blessed by God: Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3

The meek are blessed by God: Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. Matthew 5:5 Those who hunger and thirst after righteousness (not sin) are blessed by God: Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6 The merciful are blessed by God: Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7 The pure in heart are blessed by God: Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Matthew 5:8 The peacemakers are blessed by God: Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. Matthew 5:9 Those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake are blessed by God: Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:10 Those who are reviled, persecuted and falsely accused of evil for the glory of God (...His sake) are blessed by God: Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you , and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Matthew 5:11 For those who believe that God's blessings are unconditional, they need to go back and fact check that in God's Word. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? [46] Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Matthew 24:45-46 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. Luke 11:28 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. James 1:12 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. Revelation 16:15 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. [2] But his delight is in the law of the Lord ; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. [3] And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:1-3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place? [4] He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. [5] He shall receive the blessing from the Lord , and righteousness from the God of his salvation. Psalm 24:3-5 Where in all of this are sinners blessed by God? Nowhere... So go and sin no more and be blessed!
