What are we waiting for?
What excuses do we use to delay a message that warns someone of imminent danger and eternal death?
Has the world’s concern over emotions influenced our evangelism more than God’s Word?
If we are waiting for that “right” time to deliver the hard message when is that right time?
What are the consequences of waiting too long?
None of us know how much longer we have in this life. Time is short, especially in the scope of eternity.
Why do we make excuses for waiting to deliver the most important message and warning that every soul needs to hear?
If our excuses puts us past a person’s last breath then we waited too long and their soul is lost for eternity.
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:4
Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Proverbs 27:1
But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? Luke 12:20
Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away. Psalm 144:4
The time is now to deliver the message of the gospel. Not in part but in its entirety. We should not put off for tomorrow what should be done today. We should not delay this most urgent of messages!
And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Romans 13:11
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Ephesians 5:16
It is a matter of life and death and this cannot wait for some excuse to be played out.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. Hebrews 9:27
Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 21-23
