James and Peter were definitely likeminded when it came to the things that truly bring joy to a believer’s soul.
Even Paul would appreciate their cohesiveness on the subject of “Joy” as he wrote:
Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Philippians 2:2
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing…That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. James 1:2-4 and 1 Peter 1:7-9
Can two walk together, except they be agreed? Amos 3:3
Of course not.
But when they do walk together along with the Lord, you can be sure that there is joy unspeakable.
