We need more hell fire preaching on repentance today…

Not only did Jesus use a "hell fire" preaching style but the one who paved His way dis so as well. John and Jesus as well as many others in the Bible, publically rebuked the world for their sins and called for all to repent.

Today people cry foul when this is done and call it "hell fire preaching" as if it was a bad thing. Today this should be done more often but instead people seem to be more concerned about hurting people’s feelings more than they are concerned about the souls that are lost and heading straight towards the wrath of the almighty living God. The next time you see a street preacher calling out to sinners just as Jesus did, do not condemn them.

Encourage them.

Pray for them.

They are doing what you and many others are too afraid to do and that is calling lost souls to repentance. But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance…Matthew 3:7-8 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Matthew 12:34 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? Matthew 23:33 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Hebrews 10:31 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 3:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Luke 3:5 (for emphaisis…) The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9 "We’re preaching an acceptable Gospel today, making it as painless as we can. And all we do is give people a shot to put them to sleep so they get to hell quicker.
