Atheist or Amused?

There is a common theme and tendency these days for atheists to absolutely refuse the existence of God yet then turn around and insist that nobody can know what the truth is.

They stand on shifting sand that makes up the foundation of their worldview by stating at the end of it all that they might be wrong...and yet they continue on in debating the existence of God while at the same time stating that they do not have to justify themselves or prove anything...

Yeah, that reasoning makes one quite dizzy...

They do all this under the very worldview label that they adhere to which is atheism.

The word itself is comprised of 'A' which in the latin is defined as being absent of, without, or void of whatever follows. In this case it is 'theism' which is defined as as belief in god.

An example of this is found in a famous debate on the existence of God held back in 1985 where Dr. Gordon Stein, a self-professed atheist, stated:

"Now, first of all, let me make clear what atheism is and is not. I think this has been a very commonly misunderstood subject. Atheists do not say that they can prove there is no God. Also, an atheist is not someone who denies there is a God. Rather, an atheist says that he has examined the proofs that are offered by the theists, and finds them inadequate."

Keep in mind the debate was about the existence of God...

Out of one side of his mouth the atheist will adamantly claim there is no god and then when challenged he will, out of the other side of his mouth, insist that he is not saying that there is no god only that that he cannot prove nor disprove that there is a god. They do this all the while ignoring or dancing around the fact that there are abstract ideas such as math, laws of nature, laws of logic and the such that their naturalistic worldview simply cannot adequately explain and while debating against the existence of God...

I submit that they are not actually atheists but 'amused fools'.

To break that down we have once again 'A' which means 'the lack there of' along with 'muse' which essentially means 'to think'. So they are essentially fools who are not thinking...

The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God...Psalm 14:1

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. Matthew 7:24-27

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways...Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. James 1:8 and James 4:8

Question, do you worship the day? I guess the follow up qualifying question would be, are you a humanist who worships yourself? Seems...
