It’s all or none…

In God’s economy all of your life is required…

…not ten percent

…not 50

…but 100 percent.

This is definitely a battle between two world views, God’s and the world’s. They are completely opposed to each other. The law of non-contradiction states that that you cannot have them both.

While the world states you can have your cake and eat it too, God states otherwise. The world says you can serve more than one master. Some countries actually allow dual citizenship. God’s kingdom only allows one.

You cannot expect God to save you if you are keeping Him in your back pocket for situations where you need Him and then expect to be able to live the majority of your life for yourself and on your terms and for your good pleasure. The Bible clearly states it cannot and will not work that way in God’s kingdom.

A true believer, a real Christian, would not only understand this but they would actually take joy in having to no longer serve themselves but instead being able to truly live fully for and to serve God alone through His Son Jesus Christ.

We must be consistent in living as such. A true believer takes joy that he ‘gets to’ live as such.

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. Matthew 22:37

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. Matthew 10:37-39

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Matthew 16:24-26

If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:26-27

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also...Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24
