On September 24, 1906, Devils Tower was declared a United States National Monument.
Since then many monuments have been setup to give homage or remembrance to someone or something.
Today there has been much anger and hatred over many of these monuments.
It is not the least ironic that the first recognized monument by the USA is named after a fallen angel who is the enemy of God Almighty.
The Devil is no doubt in support of the current hatred and violence regarding monuments. He does so as it keeps men's focus on earthly things and not on things above as they should. It keeps us looking back instead of forward where the business of God's kingdom is.
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. [2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. [3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God. Colossians 3:1-3
